Bright Suns in Batuu

How to visit Galaxies Edge in the most fun & efficient way

If you are staying in a resort, please take advantage of extra magic hours in the morning. I recommend getting to Hollywood Studios around 5:45am, then heading straight for Smugglers Run. As you enter Batuu, the land takes you through several turns with exciting ships and characters before the final reveal: the Millennium Falcon. If you have the Play Disney app there are several opportunities to play fun games with your family that'll make the line go by in a flash. The best seat on the Falcon is front row, right side (pilot).

Once you get off the attraction, the three suns should be rising and you can get some great pictures with Photopass. Head over to Ronto Roasters for a breakfast wrap and start exploring! The best way to experience the outpost is to wander around discovering all the small details. Catch Chewbacca and Rey fixing an X-Wing fighter, or get interrogated by a Storm Trooper. Chewbacca also plays an adorable game of telephone with the younglings. I strongly encourage you to talk to the cast members and ask them questions about Batuu. They are all characters with unique stories which makes this world even more immersive. Make sure to greet them with "bright suns" in the morning, and "rising moons" in the afternoon!

Another must do is Oga's Cantina. Get a reservation as quickly as possible to this bar style dining experience. Oga's offers a variety of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. The atmosphere is exactly like the cantina scene in A New Hope as the DJ R-3X plays a mix of originals and old favorites. If you're going for lunch, I recommend eating first since there aren't many food options at the cantina.

Must Eats

Docking Bay 7 is up there with Satu'li Canteen as the best food in any WDW park. After trying a variety of their meals, I would say there are no bad options. The Tip-Yip salad is my personal favorite. The meals are high quality and they offer some of the healthiest options in the park.

Kat Saka's Kettle has flavored and colored popcorn which wasn't that special tasting, but came in the most adorable Jawa Sandcrawlers.

The Milk Stand might have been the most hyped destination besides the Falcon. They offer Blue Milk and Green Milk, both with alcoholic options. Both milks are fruity, but The Green Milk has more of a citrus flavor. I would suggest trying both since everyone seems to have a different milk preference.

Merchandise Stops

Dok-Ondar's Den of Antiques has a collection of rare finds. This is where you can find limited edition and high quality items only found in Galaxy's Edge. If you're looking for one of a kind collectors items, this is the place to go. You can also purchase a selection of lightsabers but they are on the more expensive side.

Droid Depot is where you can go to build your own droid companion. If you cannot make it to extra magic hours I recommend making a reservation. This is an immersive shopping experience that allows you to personalize your own one of a kind droid.

Creature Stall is where you can adopt a variety of pets from the Star Wars universe. They offer a selection from taun tauns to porgs. The cast members at the Creature Stall are very knowledgable in each creature and will help you discover what pet is right for you and how to take care of it.

Toydarian Toymaker offers an assortment of adorable 'hand crafted' toys that look like they would be sold in any market on planet. This is a unique stop because these toys are unlike the Star Wars merchandise found off planet.
